Clemilton, the artist, paints whatever he sees: the walls of his house, the walls of his kitchen, doors, and windows. He says his dream was to be an artist, perhaps thinking of painting on canvas, but life took a quick turn and led him to specialise in painting on wood instead. He doesn't like the hustle and bustle of big Metropolises where he was invited to exhibit his work several times; he'd rather be in his corner by the murmur of the river, close to his village. 'The São Francisco River is quiet here, and it is where I find most of my inspiration - it's just so beautiful', he added.
